Texting is a brilliant way to miscommunicate

Always taken out of context, the meaning always skewed, and the intended meaning is always misinterpreted for something cruel, mean, or hateful and I don’t have a mean bone in my body toward anyone. ~ John Amshoff

Use your vocals chords. Something people have forgotten nowadays. Texting is not communication by all means.

I prefer to hear a voice. You hear more than just the words being used. You hear excitement, happiness, sadness & joy. It’s like missing the music to a song. Texting is very impersonal and is best used for communicating information as in for work, directions, etc but a conversation needs sound. ~ Mary Merry

Replacing speaking to your family with text messages only tells them they are not valuable enough to you to take the time to actually talk with them. Texting is a cold way to communicate, can easily be misinterpreted, and come off as condescending to another person. It’s a very cold way to communicate. ~ Barbara Butler

Texting can convey intentions but not sentiments in total so it leads to misinterpretation of real feelings. Vocal interaction has positively edge over it.
