You can’t take care of others if you are not doing ok. You can’t feed your family if you are sick.
Sometimes taking care of others willingly and joyfully is the best way to take care of yourself. It’s not a psychological aberration or a ‘do-gooder, people- pleaser syndrome, it’s just a genuine uplifting of spirit and soul in service. Please don’t prejudge if you haven’t experienced that feeling. ~ Tricia Mark
After five years living with cancer because I was top busy taking care of others to take care of me I finally put my foot down and kept appointments. It cost me the brother, father and husband I had been so busy taking care of. They could not except my selfishness. ~ Debbie Wright
