When you see a person who is always smiling, does not speak much but is the first to defend you or others take a look in their eyes to see if you can see the wall that is there. If you can not penetrate it they are hiding a soul wrenching pain that they do not want anyone to know about because they do not want to burden anyone especially friends and family. It also makes them vulnerable to others and they can not afford to share because it will start a break in the wall and no one can handle it except the person that has the wall up. ~ Gail Troxler
